Dads Making a Difference (DMD), is a transformative 13-week program for Dads.

Each week, these dads will join a small group of men for a 90-minute session that offers guidance in navigating the child support and legal systems, getting (and keeping!) a good steady job, seeing their children more often, and learning how to better relate to their child and the mother of their child.

At the same time, they will discover the valuable role they play in their child’s life and how to build strong connections with their child!

James Woods is now the Community Outreach Specialist at First Things First and works to help build trust within the community and strengthen our local programs.

Larry Daniels is now the head of our Dads Making A Difference Leadership Team and helps to continue the relationship with dads who come through the program.

AND IN NOVEMBER 2022, WE LAUNCHED THE

The Dads Making A Difference Show is a radio spot where Dads help each other to be the best version of themselves. Hosted by FTF staff Reggie and James, this show talks through the challenges fathers face while also highlighting the strength of fathers and their families. Because of the community support, we will soon be creating a Dads Making a Difference Podcast in addition to this radio show.
