Civic leaders in Chattanooga, TN and the surrounding Hamilton County area banded together with a desire to strengthen families in the community.
FIRST THINGS FIRST ACCOMPLISHED ITS ORIGINAL THREE GOALS WITHIN THE FIRST 5 YEARS OF ITS EXISTENCE:
Seeing this massive success, the organization continued to provide relationship strengthening resources through face-to-face programming and digital resources to parents, couples, teens and families in the Hamilton County area and beyond.
The organization decided to take a deeper dive into the complex web of family dynamics and how it affects the strength of the community.
After thoughtful investigation and planning, FTF made the decision to turn its focus towards low-income/at-risk communities, as evidence suggests these families have the highest amount of relational dysfunction, passed down from generation to generation. In a focused pursuit, the organization has revamped its mission, reinforced through thorough evaluation and supported through evidenced-based curriculums and best practices.
Since this decision was made, FTF has expanded its services to include:
RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION
CASE
MANAGEMENT
ONE ON ONE
COACHING
ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
This holistic approach is based on The National Council of Family Relation’s Domains of Family Practice Model, and has been verified as the number one way to help families thrive.
Coincidentally, FTF’s online reach and digital relationship resources reach millions across the world annually.
Through on-demand digital content and a robust social media presence, relationship education, advocacy and empowerment is easily accessible to all families.
History continues to be made as the organization focuses on serving families in a holistic model, evaluating its effectiveness and paving the way for other communities across the nation to take the same steps.
