You Had Me At Chocolate

This fun, free virtual date night will satisfy your chocolate craving… and get you in the mood for love! Together, you’ll make a delicate, chocolate treat with the guidance of French Chocolatier, Jerome Savin and First Things First’s Will and Caroline Henry.

During this experience, Jerome will guide you through the intricate process of making tempered chocolate. Throughout the evening, a First Things First staffer will give you marriage insights and wisdom you can use to deepen your connection for a lifetime.

INGREDIENTS:
-2 lbs of Dark or Semi-Sweet Chocolate (At least 64% cocoa. Can be any of these brands:, Ghirardelli, Hu, E. Guittard. Can be bars or separate pieces.)
– Anything you want to dip/dunk in the chocolate! (Nuts, dried fruit, strawberries, hot peppers, pre-made ganache truffles, biscotti, potato chips, etc.)
SUPPLIES:
-Big stainless Steel Bowl (Can be plastic, but stainless works best!)
-Double Boiler (If you don’t have one, you can make your own by using a regular pot to boil the water and placing a glass bowl or small baking dish on top.)
-Cutting board & knife
-Digital Kitchen/Food Thermometer
-Parchment Paper
-Small Wire Baking/Cooling Rack
-Wood or Rubber Spatula
-Fork
