"Going the Distance"

Join FTF for the 13th annual Fall Banquet on Thursday, September 16th at the Chattanooga Convention Center. This year's guest speaker is Carey Casey, best-selling author and CEO of the National Center for Fathering. Through his work across the country, Casey has earned a reputation as a dynamic communicator, especially on the topic of men being good fathers, and as a compassionate ambassador, especially within the American sports community.
In 2009, Casey was asked to serve on the White House Task Force on Fatherhood and Healthy Families. He also serves as a member of the National Fatherhood Leaders Group, which promotes responsible fatherhood policy, research, advocacy and practice.
Casey has served as lecturer in the sports arena including:
- World Congress on Sports
- College football Senior Bowl
- National Association of Basketball Coaches Convention at the Final Four
- NFL Super Bowl

In high school, Casey played in the 1971 Virginia State Championship football game—the game that was later dramatized in the award-winning movie, Remember the Titans. Casey is still friends with former Titans coach Herman Boone and many of the other people who were portrayed in the movie.
